Sunday, July 13, 2008 - You say goodbye and I say hello...

-Just as the Raptors have settled their point guard dilemma, the Toronto Argos have placed QB Michael Bishop on waivers. Only in the CFL, will a player placed on waivers, yet be still on the sidelines with the squad and in almost a limbo state.
-The ever scandalous Tour De France takes another blow, as Spanish rider Manuel Beltran tested positive for steroids.
-A.J Burnett could be on his way out of Toronto, and quite realistically headed to Philly. His recent showcase performances will almost seal the deal.
-The commish of the MLB, Bud Selig, will once again answer fan questions regarding anything related to the league, via a live internet chat conference.
-after dropping six straight, the entire AL East moves ten games under. And with the division's worst road record, I'm betting on a second-half slide for the Tampa Bay Rays.
-Carlos Delfino could be headed back to the Motor City
-David Beckham will be playing in the MLS All-Star game in Toronto on July 24th.
-Joel Bosh (Chris' younger brother) is a member of the Raptors' summer league squad. The answer is most likely no, but I wonder if the kid's got game? (and by that I mean by NBA standards, of course).
-Gasol will be wearing a Grizzlies' jersey next season. Marc Gasol, that is
-The Packers are not going to let Brett Favre walk, meaning he would most likely be riding the pine next season, considering the Packers have moved forward as a team, strategy and game plan wise...and the awkward tension continues in Green Bay.
-Former WNBA saviour, Diana Taurasi reached the milestone of 3,000 points faster than anyone, this past week with 12 games to spare.
-David Lee Roth denies being saved by the Ontario Provincial Police after a rumoured "severe allergic reaction" near Brantford, Ontario. He was quoted as saying, "...the only thing I'm allergic to is criticism."
-The Toronto Blue Jays head into All-Star weekend on a positive note, winning 5 of their last 6 against division rivals.
